Arolla: The Best Snowboarding slopes in the World!
That's how I describe this little ski resort located at the very end of the Val d'Hérens in the Valais. It is a really small village lost in the middle of the Swiss Alps, but its remoteness and size offers what I seek: serenity, fewer people and more fun on the slopes. My parents, Sophie and I spent a great weekend in Arolla staying at the Grand-Hôtel Kurhaus (read my review on TripAdvisor).
Unfortunately, the weather had been great for almost two weeks… and on Friday morning, it started snowing! The weekend was overcast and snowy… at least we had some fresh powder to surf in! The region is stunning and with the Arolle pine and Mélèze tress covered in fresh snow, it turned magical! Great weekend!
